The ICAI Washington DC chapter was formed in June 2020 with the objective of creating a platform for professional & personal development of its members based in and around the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. The Chapter directly serves members based in Washington D.C., and the states of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and North Carolina. ICAI Members based elsewhere in the USA are always welcome to join the Chapter and enjoy the various benefits of being a part of one of the frontline International Chapters of ICAI.

The Washington DC and New York Chapters of ICAI jointly hosted a webinar session on Decoding India's 2022 Budget. His Excellency, Ambassador Randhir Jaiswal, Consul General of India in New York, and Dr. Ravi Kota, Minister (Economic), Embassy of India, Washington DC graced the occasion as the Guests of Honor. The session topics included the role of indirect tax in Indian economy, India @ 75 to India @ 100 - Vision of Indian Government, India-U.S. Relations and the Road Ahead and Investment Opportunities for Indo-American businesses and NRIs in India - Tax and Regulatory Aspects (With implications of Union Budget 2022-23).
