POST BUDGET 2023: INSIGHTS FOR US - INDIA BUSINESSES
A Joint Webinar by the Embassy of India, Washington DC, FICCI and Washington DC Chapter of ICAI
February 15, 2023
Dear Readers,
Greetings from FICCI and the Washington DC Chapter of ICAI!
February 1 marks the announcement of India's Union Budget for FY 2023-24. The global outlook for investment in India remains strong; therefore, the budget provides an excellent opportunity to convert global sentiment into action. As the United States is one of India's top investors, American investors will watch the budget announcements keenly.
In this backdrop, FICCI, along with the Embassy of India, Washington, DC, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Washington DC Chapter, scheduled a virtual session on "Insights on Union Budget 2023" on February 10, 2023.
Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Washington, DC, USA, and Mr. Pranav Sayta, Chairman FICCI Taxation Committee and Partner & National Leader from E&Y India, an expert on International Tax and Transaction Services matters, enriched us with their knowledge during the session.
The session detailed a closer look at the different components of the Union Budget to help understand businesses specific to India-US with a focus on the economic outlook.
If you missed the session, please watch the video.
